Deep dark opaque wine. Nose full of dark fruit, sweet and lush. A bit spicy with a dense rich mouthfeel. Very forward. Great with the steak that we had.

District? Price? Alcohol level?

Ahh....yup..missed a few things...
It was the Brown Vineyard, Napa Valley bottling which sold for $39 in Boston and the ABV was 14.5%.

I did not look at the alcohol until you asked and it surprised me a bit. The wine did not show any hotness at all. In fact, it was rather refined. Certainly jamminess up front but the flavors that came after were front and center here, and a smooth med-long to long finish. Nice, I would do this again....still got one of their syrahs...wonder if I will like it as much.

A solid small producer that's always on my buy list. WW
