I'm going to a New Years party tomorrow night and would like to bring a zin but could use a few ideas. I don't want to spend more than $25. What do you think?

Hey Tom, welcome to the wine board. (Yeah I know he's been here before, but I don't remember ever replying to any other thread from him.......)

Assuming you mean you don't want to spend more than $25.00 per bottle try these on for size:

Rancho Zabacco Zinfandel (Made by Gallo, very nice Zin, not expensive and closer to $10.00 per than $25.00 per). There are a number of threads on this site that talk about the various vintages of this very nice Zin.

Cline Zinfandel California 1999 - or if you are willing to approach that $25.00 limit then you can look into the vineyard specific Zins from Cline, cuz they are, also, pretty darn good.

Bonny Doon puts out a real nice Zin..... Check that one out also.

There are other possibilities - Gosh just enter Zin in the search feature of this wine board and you will get all kinds of information.

But the three labels mentioned above are darn good zins within your requested price range.

Happy New Year!!!!

Thanks Mr.Dutton for the advice. I've heard good things about Cline and I just saw the Rancho Zabacco the other night. The host likes Zin so I figured that would be something I could bring to the party. Will also do a search for Zin for other ideas. Thanks one and all for the great advice this past year. I'm learning alot on these boards and look forward to the coming year. Happy New Year One And All!

'99 Peachy Canyon Estate Bottled , Mustang Springs, Benito Dusi Ranch or Westside. All 4 are very nice Zins and $15 to $30.
