14.5% alcohol; a pretty color of dark red, clear, can see through it

This wine opened up after airing for 30 minutes; better with some breathing time and with food but too much heat to be elegant. It was not a candidate for my favorite zin but does okay with broiled T-bone steak. It mellowed out further by the third day (refrigerated between dinners). It became more pleasurable on its own by the third day where it really required food on the first evening. The consistency was quite viscous, forming legs on the side of the glass.
