Popped this tonight at my Mother in Laws. Beautiful regal dark color, clear. Big port nose, Zin fruit, vanilla and cinnamon. Strong port and zinberry flavors, slightly hot, finishing long. A beautiful zin that my only criticism was the heat from the 14.8% alc. but that seemed to diminish after an hour or so. My Mother in Law, 76 and who rarely drinks, had 4 small glasses and the face of Stan Laurel after the wine bottling scene in the movie "THE BOHEMIAN GIRL" .... I think she liked it too!! If you want to see what she looked like, go the this Url.

She must have been very hoppy.

interesting! I opened a bottle of their 1998--it was oxidized and fruitless.

Sorry to hear that, Foodie. I went back to the liquor store that I found the 1st bottle and behold found another twin orphan. This is one of the nicest Zins I've had in a long while but who da thunk you could find a '94 sitting in an average liquor store where the temperature is kept at 65 year round? (it's cold in that store!) BTW, $8.99 for the wine.

Shows the strength of the 94 vintage in Napa. WW
