- Auburnwine - 03-02-2003 Hey, I picked up a Rancho Zabaco 2000 Dry Creek Valley Reserve for $15. I have never seen such a creature before and can't seem to find any notes on it. Is anyone familiar with their Reserve? - Auburnwine - 03-05-2003 Has anyone even HEARD of it? I know that it exists, 'cause it's in my cellar. But I can't even find it listed on any of the wine-selling sites. - wondersofwine - 03-05-2003 I can't even find the Rancho Zabaco Dry Creek Zinfandel (regular bottle) locally. I think Drew is the one who recommended it but I find only the RZ Sonoma Heritage zin, the Dancing Bull, and Gallo of Sonoma Dry Creek zin. Medium-bodied and crisp, the nose reveals mixed berries, cherries, vanilla and cedar. Straightforward, the flavors mirror the nose. Nice BBQ wine. 85/86. - Auburnwine - 03-05-2003 Bucko, you are a great and wise human being. If I ever have another offspring, I promise to name him after you. - Drew - 03-06-2003 Why would you do that to someone you love? Drew - hotwine - 03-06-2003 No kiddin'. Like Johnny Cash used to say, might as well name a boy "Sue", and give him something to fight about his whole life. |
