1999 Tobin James, Dusi Vineyard, Paso Robles, Zinfandel ($28). Came in last fall's shipment so probably just paid around $12. It is worth $28! Comes from 75 year old vines that are dry farmed and head prunned. The result is a concentrated jammy zin that is not overblown at 13.8% alcohol. Decanted it an hour ahead of time to be on the safe side. It was ready. Matched with bbq'd boneless country ribs. Perfect. The James Gang strikes again.
