had a glass of this wine nearly 2 years ago at a wine bar in NYC. grabbed a bottle a few months after that, have been holding it since and opened it last night. no detailed notes, but i recall it being a bright ruby color with a nice nose of red fruits and a little vanilla and just a whisper of tar (also a little cab sav. blended in and a bit of cab franc). very good fruit with layers of flavors, including plums and cherries. didn't decant, and found the flavors expanded with some air time, and there were also some soft tannins present. at $19.99 per bottle, a very nice merlot that i think would probably still improve for another year or two. short-term cellar worthy, i'd say.
