Hope someone out there can help me find the subject wine: Salmon Creek. A restaurant thatI frequent serves it; but they are dropping it from their menu (because some of the other patrons are asking for more expensive wines). I have been unable to reach the owner to find out how I can get in touch with the maker or a local distributor or even make a case for him keeping it on the menu. I live in Long Beach, Calif. If you have some knowledge of this wines maker or distributor a/a Long Beach I would be very grateful. TIA Norm

Salmon Creek Cellars isn't a winery, but one of several brands of Classic Wines of California, a subsidiary of the Bronco Wine Co. in Ceres.

I agree completely. Just opened a bottle of Salmon Creek Merlot '99 last night, very nice. Somewhat light body, grape/plum/jam flavors predominate.

Best under $10 Merlot I've found.
