Found this wine while out fishing a few stores. I tasted this with a Truchard merlot '97. I thought the Amberhill would be dead. The Truchard was still alive and kicking, but the surprise was this Amberhill.

Amberhill, which is a third or fourth lable by Raymond, is cheap. I paid $10 for the bottle a few nights ago. The fruit is so youthful and tasty.

I sent my wife the day after tasting this wine to pick up everything (9 bottles) they had. I could not be more pleased. This is a wine where you KNOW it has peaked. And the peak is just simply lovely!......

You make me thirsty for a Merlot, and that is quite a feat.

Is this a sweet or a dry merlot? I am looking for sweet reds.

It is dry are all Merlots are supposed to be. Go to our FAQs. Sweet wines are the first one.
