One of the best Merlot's I've had. Beautiful black/purple. Dark plum, cassis and port scents on the nose. Lush plum and cassis flavors with hints of earth, dark chocolate and a touch of allspice. Still ample tannins on the finish with a little heat. Beautifully paired with Filet Mignon topped with garlic shrimp, mashed yukon garlic mashers and salad, wonderful. Reporting from Ocean City where the temp. reached 74 degrees today. Life is good. 13.5% Alc/vol. This bottle was a gift and I think it retails in the $15 to $20 range.

my absolute favorite Merlot!!! always keep at least one bottle on hand- sometimes I even share it.. I usually pair it with a good, rare steak. Retails here for $18-20. WD
