A McLaren Vale produced wine. BUY ALL YOU CAN FIND!!!!! One of the best shiraz I've had! Deep, dark and brooding...a monster of King Kong dimensions, and NOT an oak monster. Coffee, Blueberry liquor, berry and spice. Plenty of tannins to age further and a 45 sec. finish. 14.5% Alc/vol. $27

Popped another last night and the beast has calmed. A silky shiraz that now wears a beautiful, elegant ball gown. Some fine tannins are still present mid palate and finish and now all the flavors sing in harmony. Would say she's entering her golden years now...lovely drink.

I just tried the 2002 version and it follows right along with your notes -- damned good wine and made for BBQ.
