I have happened on and purchased (for $22) what I believe to be a very good bottle of wine:
1997 Fox Creek McLaren Vale J.S.M Shiraz/Cabernets (61%shiraz, 24%cab franc,15%cabernet sauvignon). Any Tn's please and when to drink?

Anything from Fox Creek (even their "Vixen," a Sparkling Cabernet/Shiraz) is incredible drinking. This winery is on a roll!

My notes on the '98 "JSM" last March: An unsusual blend, with startling results. Shimmering purplish ruby color followed by jammy, juicy concentration of peppery, woodsmoked berries. On the palate, super extracted fruit lashed with sinewy tannin, giving thick, muscular, strapping sensations.

You don't want to just drink this wine, you want to spread on toast (or a companion) and lap it up. In any case, why wait? Personally, I advise you to enjoy it now, in all its glorious youth. If you wait too long, it's liable to become more timid and genteel, like lots of folks I know.

Thanks Randy, we've included it in our summer vacation plans.

Randy were you obliquely refering to me when you said drink it in its` youth before it becomes genteel? Thanks. Had an absolutely ( For my taste ) scrumptious Aussie Cab-Shiraz today that was new to me. A 97 Lengs and Cooter Swinton Vineyard. My type of wine. Winoweenie
