The 1998 Peter Lehmann Mentor just showed up at one of my haunts. Anyone have any experience with this $42 flagship from Lehmann? 1998 was such a hugh year for Oz wines and I still have a few left that seem to be getting better and better.

IMHO, assuming there hasn't been any wierd storage issues as it worked its way through the distribution pipeline, this wine should be good for many more years, and it may be reaching its peak in another 2-4. None of the "big boy" Oz '98s that I've recently tasted have seemed on the downhill slide.

I couldn't agree more. But I don't have any personal experience with this exact wine.
