- Georgie - 08-10-2003 We enjoyed this with delicious seafood mariscota (Not sure about that spelling) at a tiny shore restaurant. This wine was just delicious, not too crisp, not too sweet; everybody liked it! - Bucko - 08-10-2003 NZ SB has quite the lure, doesn't it! - Skeeter - 08-10-2003 If kiwi SB's are the lure, then I'm hooked. (Damn, this was a shelfish use of bandwidth to make a few bad aquatic puns. I'll clam up now.) - wondersofwine - 08-11-2003 If you don't, I'll have to send my mussel men after you! (Reminds me of my friend who said while dining in Brussels, Belgium she ordered mussels just for the pleasure of saying that she had mussels in Brussels! - Innkeeper - 08-11-2003 Was it oaked? Sometimes the reserves are. Got nailed myself once that way. - Kcwhippet - 08-11-2003 If there's any oak, it's way in the background. They let the juice sit on the skins overnight to enhance intensity then ferment the free run juice. A very classic Marlborough profile. - Georgie - 08-11-2003 Didn't have that taste that I think is oak. It tasted good to me, that's all I can tell ya. |
