- Innkeeper - 06-30-2004 2001 Yalumba, Merlot, South Australia ($11.99 New Hampshire Liquor Store). 13.5% alcohol. Red cherries, plums, and iced tea on the nose and upfront. Fairly complex fruit and chewy tannin across the palate, and a nice finish afterward. Great hamburger wine for the summer. Matched with burgers grilled with mesquite smoke and Vidalia onions nuked in OO, along with a salad in blue cheese dressing. Wine went well with all. Give it a shot. - Thomas - 07-01-2004 Gee IK, you seem to have warmed up to the variety. Who knows, we might even get ww--when he is back--to warm up to sw... - winoweenie - 07-01-2004 When pigs AND donkeys fly. WW - Kcwhippet - 07-01-2004 Well, that depends. Does SW mean sissy white or sparkling white. If the latter, I can attest from personal experience that WW is definitely a fan - despite his protestations. - winoweenie - 07-02-2004 Bubblies are in their own catagory..."Breakfast of Champions " WW |
