Barwick Cardonnay, Western Australia, '04

Nose has citrus fruits with a very small touch of granny smith apple and an equally small touch of oak (vanilla). The palate is full of tart green fruit, like crab apple. There's also some nutty components with a touch of cream.

I wanted something more from this wine that simply did not deliver. This is not a bad wine; It just didn't have what I wanted. The acidic quality took over too strongly..

I did finish the bottle with my wife pre and during dinner. Moved onto a Marquis-Philips Sarah's blend '04.
