With WW's recent postings of '96 cabs, I thought this appropriate.
90% Cab, 10% Merlot blend with N.Y. strip steaks tonight. Black/garnet. Rich nose of black fruit, oak and some dark chocolate. Like flavors with a solid mid palate but the long finish turns a little bitter from the influence of the, IMHO, excessive oak. Good acidity and the tannins suggest many more years ahead but the oak is dominating at this point. 12.5% Alc./Vol.
