Another delicious wine from Craneford. A very deeply flavored, lush grenache. Almost black in the glass, this grenache is smooth, velvety and lush displaying the dark berry side of the grape with hints of spice and brite berry. Elegant and a long finish make this a wow wine if you like this style of grenache, I do. 15%Alc/vol $16.

I was getting ready to trash the empty bottle the other day when I read the winemaker's TN which I share with you for chuckles sake.

"The exceptional fruit of this vintage is imbued with the age gathered characters of raspberry and Maraschino Cherry on a formidable, dense palate hosting insistent whorls of blackberry, mulberry and forest fruits.

It's black/violet cadences are testament to an enriched, compelling body and a rich fragrant nose of ripe fruit and piquant berries.

An exciting, assured Grenache to be indulged with a choice of Peking duck, mature cheeses or steak."

I wouldn't want to encounter an unassured Grenache, would you?

That's why I bought it....
