A nose of rich Barossa chocolate with slightly dusty plum and cherry aromas. Long, richly flavoured chocolate and plums flavours with ample mouthfeel it finishes with slightly gamey undertones and a little overcooked, but still a very nice wine.

I do like Melton's line-up. But I agree in the past couple of vintages, there seems to be a stewed fruit note to the wines. Nice note.

I actually had this wine last Sunday and agree with the notes except did not detect the stewy flavors you describe. Nice wine albeit a tad monolithic. It struck me as a restrained version of Marquis-Phillips style.
