Tasted at an Officers' Club tasting put on by various distributors. This is without a doubt the most "asparagusy" Sauvignon Blanc I've ever tried--no gooseberries, tropical fruits, or citrus here--just asparagus! I like some Sancerre S.B. with grassy or herbal elements but this was too much!
Most of the wines offered were mediocre or worse. The best of the bunch was probably the Cline Syrah which I might actually order with a dinner. There was also a California Sauvignon Blanc that at least was citrusy, not oaky (but I didn't like it as well as St. Supery). It might have been Woodbridge.
