- madjack - 03-16-2007 I am making a pork dish for a dinner party for 8, and am having trouble finding a wine that will go well. The recipe calls for boneless center cut pork ribs, apples, apple cider, garlic and onions. What wine(s) would go best in the $10-$30 range? I live in southeast PA and would purchase at or order through a Wine and Spirits shop. Thanks in advance! - Innkeeper - 03-16-2007 Hi Madjack and welcome to the Wine Board. Recommend a Finger Lakes Riesling if you can find one. If not one from Pennsylvania, Michigan or Missouri will work. - madjack - 03-17-2007 I tried a Clover Hill Riesling from PA and neither my husband nor I liked it. I don't know if a different bottle of Riesling would be better, or if a different wine would also work. Both should pair well if you don't want riesling. Drew - madjack - 03-22-2007 Thank you very much for the Sauvignon Blanc suggestion. My husband and I tried a bottle of Dry Creek the other night and it was wonderful. [This message has been edited by madjack (edited 03-22-2007).] |
