That it had a twist top was the only reason that I opened this tonight.

I don't have much experience with Australian wines but this one seemed to be in a bit of a dumb phase. The wine is certainly dense and richly textured, very round, but the nose was very muted as were the flavours. Coffee, low base tone dark fruit with limited acidity, very flat, spicy but muted again. The finish was the surprise, being no more than medium length but good persistence. I had expected a bit more from this bottle but it is only my first experience.
