Latched onto this producer several years ago and believe me, he 'aint for the faint-hearted. This wine was like the song title " Deep Purple " and was already staining the bottle with sediment. After 45 minutes All-spice and mace with a tinge of vanilla bean and cocoa hit the nose-buds.Black fruits galore. The entry was smooth, solid center and a mrdium long finish. Lots of soft rounded tannins will keep this puppy going another 10 years. His wines remind mr of Heitz " Marthas ", with an unexpected flavor popping up when least expected. After 2 hours the Shiraz heritage started coming on. Quite a different taste experience, but enjoyable. Kinda' like a Boto wine. WW
