Sampled this over a 2 day period.
Very dark in the glass, almost opaque with slight lightening at the rim. Bretty, heady alcohol nose of mature plum, blackberry and dark chocolate. flavors follow nose in a lush flavor profile that lacks sufficient acidity causing the wine to show a little flabbyness. Day 2 the wine revealed an off putting mid palate fecal note that, for me, was unpleasant. The heady nose never left. Maybe the 2002 wines of MP are too disjointed at this young age, kinda like going thru puberty, sooooo I'm gonna put a few aside to see what they become but in any event, they're not the nice, early drinkers like their 2001 offerings, IMHO. 14%ABV. $12 with mixed case discount.
