2001 Nugan Family, Third Generation, Cabernet Sauvignon, South Eastern Australia ($11.99 SHWC). Wow! Haven’t had an approachable on release cabernet this good since the ole, ole L.M. Martini's. The eye meets a brick red color. Fruity, minty, spicy, oaky notes on the nose and upfront. Ripe black currents and more fruit, integrated with afore mentioned oak, and smooth tannin cross the palate, and the finish lingers. Lip smacking good. All for twelve bucks. Matched it with grillpanned porterhouse steak and salad tonight. Excellent. Will be getting much more of this one.

Popped the second and last one tonight with souped up burgers and salad. Even better than the first. As soon as the weather warms up some, will oder a case if there is any left.
