A John Kilm signature wine (Wine Maker).
Here's a WOW wine. Beautiful dark purple and floral nose of crushed blackberry and spice. Starts off with delicious, lush deep flavors of blackberry and dark berry. Very fine tannins on the long, surprise finish. The flavors transcend into a finish which shows brite fruit, cinnamon and hints of chocolate. I thought a very elegant wine and no doubt, the best Petite Verdot I've had.
Parker loved it too although his notes are different than mine. Highly recommended by moi and my wine guy. 14%Alc/vol. $21

Parkers Notes:
Petit Verdot can rarely stand on its own, but Craneford's 2002 is an inky/blue/purple-colored offering displaying notes of incense, liquid minerals, black fruits and damp earth. Dense, chewy and enormous in the mouth, the question is will the fruit hold and the tannin ultimately subside or will the tannin take over? For now, I am optimistic as this stunning wine looks to be one of the finest Petit Verdots I have ever tasted. Anticipated maturity 2006-2015.
