- Drew - 07-21-2004 A McLaren Vale wine. Arrived in OC around 3pm and after uncovering and cleaning the boat, getting settled, Eileen and I popped this about 6pm EST with tidbits and munchies as we had our, IK proclaimed principal meal (we ate too much at 2pm at a seafood restaurant stop). Not a wow wine but a nice Oz shiraz with lush spicy blackberry flavors and a hint of milk chocolate. Some red fruit flavors evolved after an hour. Fairly one dimensional but pleasant. Bottled with a stelvin closure and low oak detected. 14% Alc/vol. $14. Drew - Innkeeper - 07-21-2004 All sound just fine, but don't you have Daylight Savings Time in Maryland? - Drew - 07-22-2004 Thanks, IK, for reminding me to change the clock... I'm all discombubalated. Drew - winoweenie - 07-22-2004 Glad summun' else is light-headed. Only 72 hours, 27 minutes and 29 seconds to go....but agin' who;s countin????WW |
