I didn't love this wine. Pretty sure there's some cat pee going on here and I think oak. I'm really not able to identify what I'm tasting like you folks can, but I've decided this. When I taste a wine and say, "Ooh, this tastes really nice," well, then that's a good wine to me. When I have to keep tasting and tasting a wine, trying to decide whether or not I like it, well, then that's ususally not one I'd buy again. Such was the case with this one. 13.5% ABV $16.99

Have not tried the Thelema, but oak is not normally found in South Africa SB. Certainly possible though. Don't like oak, but can stand a certain amount of cat pee in SB. We very much enjoy the one from Simonsig at $5 less. Try it.

As usual, you are right, IK. I e-mailed the Thelema winery just to ask if they aged the SB in oak and the answer is no. Still can't quite identify oak, I guess.

The good Herr Docktor Buckinheister has a 569 page treatise on the subject available online at " The Tree House Press ". ww
