What an interesting and rather odd wine. It is exactly what it says it is. A sparkling Shiraz. I had expected it to be more like a Brachetto, and we initially were going to pair it with chocolate, but that was off. We switched gears and tried it by itself. Couldn't really get an angle on it. Anne actively disliked it, and I'm still saying "Hmm." Red fruits and black pepper Shiraz flavors with frothy bubbles. Overpaid for it at $27.

Yeah Dan, I haven't had that one but I have had Hardy's version. I never could warm to red sparkling wine.
