2001 Alpha Domus, Hawkes Bay, Sauvignon Blanc ($14 local). Kiwies (honastly), limes, and other fruits on nose and tongue tip. More fruitsalad and crisp acidity across the palate, and a refreshing finish. A very nice wine, and highly recommeded. There is something I can't put my finger on about Hawkes Bay that we prefer to Marlbourgh. Villa Maria makes wines with grapes from both places where you can clearly see and taste the difference. Matched this one with Sea Scallop Scampi. Oh boy!!!! Oh girl!!!
