1998 Albarossa Salice Salentino, (DOC), Rosso; $8.99 from Wine Expo. This was our first negroamaro or more precisely blend of primitivo, negroarmaro, and malvasia nera. Guess the acidity came from one of the later two, because it had plenty. Lots of dark fruit on the nose and upfront; wonderful acidity and appropriate earth on palate with tannin absolutely as smooth as a baby's bum. The finish lingered until the last bite of pizza went down with it. That's our absolute test of acidity in Italian Wine, pizza.

IK, glad you liked that, one of our standards. Also glad to report that we have been able to reduce the price to $7.99 due to falling Lira...
