$11.00 for a 3-oz. pour at Vin Restaurant in
Raleigh. Had between courses. Medium ruby color, less dense and less viscous than the Brothers-in-Arms Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon that followed. Medium body but lingers lightly on the palate, not full bore. Drinking smoothly now--just some fine tannins on the finish. Would match nicely with pasta in meat sauce. I wonder if it would complement a light stew or chicken cacciatore? Any thoughts on food matches for the Brunello or whether it would clash with chicken cacciatore?
