I'm getting married in 5 weeks and I need help with the Italian wine selections and champagne.Does anyone know if the Lamberti Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and merlot Santepietre,Delle Venezie wines are good? Also, the N.V. Blanc De Noirs, Domaine Chandon, Napa Valley champagne or the 1997 Brut Domaine Carneros, Taittinger, Napa Valley? Which is the better choice? I appreciate any help. Thanks!

Hi Rbell, and welcome to the Wine Board. Don't care for either of those brands. Why not go with real Italian wine for around the same price. Recommend Chianti Classico for a red, e.g. Checchi; and Vermentino for a white, two or three good ones posted below. I like the Domaine Chandon for a bubbly. Great choices there.

Hi Innkeeper! Many thanks for the recommends! You're right about the Chianti Classico! By the way, love your salmon recipe and will use it soon. I eat pounds of the stuff! Again, thanks!
