1998 Nicholis Angelo, Testal, Veronese ($17 Wine Expo). It is a Vino de Ripasso, and wonderful. Since it is still young and could stand a little more time in rack, recommend decanting for aeration (currently not thowing any sediment). It is concentrated and jammy, making it a quaffer of quality, or a foil for a very rich Italian stew. As reported in a recent trip report down under Wine Country Touring, we shared a bottle with Foodie and Scoop in Hammondsport last month. It was enjoyed by all. Last weekend we quaffed our third, and last bottle before and after dinner on our anniversary. It made the occasion very memorable.

Roberto has this on his current hot list. I got the price wrong on my post. It was then and is now $19. Hate absolutes, but this is certaining among the very best wines in the world for less than $20. Highly recommend it.
