I had the the '97 classico and enjoyed it. When I saw the '97 riserva was out. I quickly picked up a bottle.

Had it with a big, juicy rib eye steak, a baked potato and steamed veggies.

Great bottle for the price. Paid about 14 for it.

I have not yet seen the 97' around here yet, but I will start looking. I still have one 96' Riserva left, which I decided I'm going to forget about for a while, and let it age gracefully. If you have not tried one of these yet, pick up a 1997 Banfi Chianti Classico Riserva as well.... you will not be disappointed. Just make sure you give it time to breathe.

WC,

I took your suggestions from an earlier post. A 97 banfi will be arriving any day from Popswine, along with 11 other beauties of various origins.
