In the crock pot right now is a sirloin roast with garlic, pineapple juice and 2 bottles of Baby Sugar Ray's Honey BBQ Sauce. Cook for couple of hours and shred. Serve on grinder rolls with sauteed onions and shredded sharp Tillamook cheese. I'm thinking I'll finish off the 7 Deadly Zins tonite with this.

CA girl, You can't make BBQ beef in a crock pot...BBQ needs smoke.

Hope it's good though.

It was mouth watering! Vacuum packed half to store in freezer for a later dinner. Zin paired very nicely. Great dinner overall.

Came home from work yesturday and Karen was wanting some BBQ. We ordered some take out from one of our favorite joints. I thought I had saw a refferance to wine & BBQ here. So I had a bottle of Rancho Zabaco Sonoma Heritage and had that with the BBQ.

Can say it is not my favorite wine parings but was not bad either.
I'll have my southern sweet tea w/lemon with BBQ.

Aside from the pairing, how did you like the wine? I like both Rancho Zabaco Sonoma Heritage Zin and the R.Z. Dry Creek Valley Zin but some find them too different from traditional zins.

I have not had many Zins, but the Rancho Zabco SH is one of my favorites. I'll look out for the other one you mentioned.
