Last one of these in the cellar. It appears we hit it just right, because it was really, really nice. The tannins were so silky. Nose came across with mushrooms, cherry and a bit of coffee, and got more of the cherry in the taste. This just might have gone for another six months. We have one more 2002 Southing and I'm thinking we might want to pop that one fairly soon.

Oops!! Forgot to mention this was the Botella.

Posted on that sucker (Southing) a couple of weeks ago. Good stuff. WW

Naturally after reading KCs' post I looked at me sophisticated inventory list and saw that I too had only one bottle of the Botella left. Naturally it was opened today for lunch with wild alaskan salmon and fresh steamed spinach. Neat bottle that has all the abovementioned characters and is a lovely food wine. Still another Southing and 2 10s left from this vintage. WW
