- dananne - 06-11-2003 Opened it last night for an 8th anniversary evening drinker after dinner. Decanted 30 minutes. Bright ruby color and a tart cherry nose. Pretty intense up front, with cherry flavors mixed with mulberry and raspberry. I bit of earth, but not so much that it overpowered the fruit. Some pleasant drying tannins, very satin-like on the tongue, good medium-weight, and a nice, long finish that brought out some rose petal. We really enjoyed it -- probably one of the better Burgundies I've had in the past year. Alc. 13%, bought it for $40 locally. - Innkeeper - 06-11-2003 Sounds wonderful, and Happy Anniversary. - ShortWiner - 06-12-2003 Happy anniversary! My 2nd was this week too--great time of year for a wedding |
