Edna Valley.

Anne had a particularly long and awful week at work, so I wanted to pull something nice for Friday evening.

This wine showed a dark ruby color that bordered on purple. Decanted 30 minutes before 1st pour. Perfumed aromas of plum and black cherry. Thick and rich in the mouth, with the plum and black cherry flavors picking up a coffee note and red spices. The finish is very long. Nice wine, but I'm not sure it warrants the 96 that WS gave it. I also wouldn't drink to '12, as suggested. That'd miss the point. Pop and enjoy sooner rather than later. 14.5% alc. We paid about $50 locally.
