Preparing two meals for those with very undaring palates:
1) tuna
2) pasta with tomato sauce
What might make a good pairing with either of those?
(most likely not the same bottle for both)

I like Chianti or other somewhat acidic Italian reds to go with the acidic tomato sauce (an opposing viewpoint is to go with a less acidic wine to cut the acid in the tomato sauce). With tuna it may depend on the preparation. Grilled without much in the way of a sauce? Maybe a fruity Pinot Noir. With a cream-based sauce? Probably a white wine such as unoaked or subtly oaked Chardonnay or Pinot Blanc. With Asian spices? Gewurztraminer or Riesling.
