Purchased this Cote de Nuits-Villages locally for about $25. Drank it as a stand-alone wine after a light dinner.

Very dark red color, almost like a syrah or zin. Tart cherries on the nose. Very concentrated cherry fruit, a bit fuller-bodied. Alcohol (13.5%) was present, as were some light tannins on the finish. Heavier than most pinots I've had recently. I think I should have kept this for a couple more years to round it out a bit more. Had bought it last year in a birthday-present-for-self package, and I had made the decision to open it this year for my birthday. Had it a bit early -- oh well!
