- wondersofwine - 09-25-2005 I skipped the Martin Family and Willowbrook Pinots which I have tasted and purchased on several occasions already. 2000 Casa Carneros "Los Carneros" (limited production). $24.99 I have already purchased two bottles of this and I'm pleased to say that I liked it better on this tasting than the last time I tried it. Fruity but reaching a mature taste with a fairly long finish for a Pinot Noir. I may order more if it is still available next month. 2002 Cristom Pinot Noir "Louise" (Oregon) $44.99. I bought one bottle before tasting it. Clear red color with a touch of brown tones. 14% alcohol abv Seems elegant. A subtle wood treatment? Probably would buy more Casa Carneros or Greg Opitz Pinot Noir at a lower price than more of this at $45. However, it was a good tasting and this time they also provided a tray of cheese, crackers, canteloupe, pineapple, etc. - Bucko - 09-25-2005 The Cristom Pinot Noir "Louise" is usually a nice wine, but they are a little proud of the price. - wondersofwine - 09-26-2005 It was a nice wine Bucko but not worth that price in my opinion. |
