Another '05 Willamette trip purchase, this one at the winery. Dark garnet in color. Decanted 30 minutes before 1st pour and through evening. Smoky plum aromas and flavors, with a body and weight that we'd normally associate with a Cali wine. Flavors continue with the plum, but also show black cherry and some mushroom. It was nice, but not as nice as we remembered from the winery tasting. Alc. 14.1%. We overpaid at $45. FWIW, WE and WS 89.
