12.5% alcohol
Color is more purple than red and nearly opaque. Cherry notes on nose and palate. Slightly tart but pleasant with smoked Gouda cheese or porkchop and mushroom sauce. Probably better than the majority of bourgogne rouge (the non-Cru wines). I enjoyed it but can't get terribly excited about it. I think for my next pork chop meal I will open a Chambolle-Musigny that is taunting me.
