This Bouchaine entry Pinot Noir is a blend of primarily Carneros grapes with some Sonoma Coast and Napa grapes. I have had it before and find it decent for an inexpensive P. N. ($10-12 a bottle most places). Had a glass of this Monday night at Fire Creek Restaurant in West Des Moines where it was food-friendly with my Asiago Chicken entree with white wine lemon-butter sauce. A white wine might have been the obvious choice but I wasn't particularly interested in the choices (Pinot Grigio for one). The wine was light-bodied and fruity with red berries and avoided the cherry cola which is sometimes too prominent in Carneros Pinot. It also seemed compatible with the Asiago cheese flavoring.
