Willamette Valley.

By all rights, I should have hated this wine. It's from Oregon's '03 vintage and sports a 15.4% alc level. However, it didn't taste like it should. This was some awesome juice, one of our favorites of the whole year. Dark garnet in color, with a floral nose that suggested roses (I'm not good with flowers). At any rate, it was distinct and somewhat unique, and it balanced the sweet cherry and plum aromas. Red fruit flavors, with nice acidity, satin-like texture, and a hint of vanilla creamyness on the finish. Balanced wine that shows a deft touch with fruit that could have produced an unbalanced, hot wine. Should drink well for the next 3-5 years. Really great stuff, and we're kicking ourselves for only buying one bottle at the Tasting Room in Carlton, where EIEIO sells their wares along side smaller producers that have no tasting rooms and limited availability. Ran us $35, and well worth every penny. FWIW, RP gave it a 90 and suggested an '07 to '12 window.
