This Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (Sonoma) was tried at the Fairmont Hotel in Kansas City, MO. (I ordered the Olivet Lane Pinot Noir and the server brought me a white wine. I said "This isn't a Pinot Noir." She said "Oh we have two Olivet Lane's on the menu. I'll get you the other one." she had brought a Chardonnay.)

14.1% alcohol
Very dark red, almost opaque. Some blueberry as well as dark cherries on the nose. Like flavors. A touch of undergrowth (sous bois) or forest floor but with some elegance and finesse. Quite acceptable with the smoked tomato bisque and bread for a late lunch.
