Freds' last vintage from this outstanding vineyard and IMHO the best ever to be made from these quality grapes. Brilliant sparling ruby. Nose of both red and white fruits, exotic spices, perfect funk, and great balance. Supplr entry, solid center and a 4 lapper finish. This bottle is strucured so well it will need anoter 4-6 to resolve the considerable soft tannins. GOOOOD stuff! 91/90 40 14.5% alc. WW

You will likely be happy to hear I don't think it's the last vintage -- we tried, loved, and purchased the '04 of this wine on our visit with Fred last August. It'll need considerable time in bottle to smooth out the tannins, but it's going to be a fabulous wine. Awesome stuff, and one of our favorites of the whole trip. We paid $60 for it.
