I thought that I had posted previously on this one. This is a pretty light burgundy that feels like it needs drinking. Nice floral nose still. The bright red fruits are still rather charming but the wine is not really improving. Decent simple burgundy but for $29, there are better.

In the interest of self preservation (hoping that WW did indeed not send out his hit squad tonight if I had opened up a young Petite Syrah), I went after this one with a roasted duck and LARGE salad. Great pairing. The wine alone was the same as the previous notes a few months ago but the fatty duck took some of the edge that wine and made it a nice companion.

Did Genevieve prepare the duck? I would be interested in the recipe although I will probably go for duck breast only rather than cooking a full duck.

Still holding up with little change but still the same impression, needs drinking!
