After putting together a half-case of our favorites from our winery visit and tasting, we filled out the case purchase with a bunch of the '06 RRV PNs, which had just gone into bottle. We decided to crack one to see how it turned out.

Bright, clear garnet in color, while it sat in decanter for 30 minutes before 1st pour. Clean, vivid cherry fruit, with a bit of cranberry tartness, and it had a smokey, subtle barnyard element that screamed RRV fruit. Satin-like in texture, it was very light, smooth, and creamy on entry, and it gained in intensity in the mouth, finishing long, but clean. Nice wine, though still young, and it will be nice to have to pull from the cellar over the next 3-5 years. 14.3% alc. Ran about $19 with the case discount at the winery. Not nearly as big as single vineyard Siduri wines can be, this is a more traditional wine and built for much earlier enjoyment.
